Vision and Mission

Mission Statement:
It is the intention of the CAN Council to work collaboratively with community partners to prevent child abuse and neglect in Huron County

Organizational Vision:

The Council has established the following as goals for 2009 through 2012 to guide this effort.

1. Local Youth will understand personal safety practices and be educated about appropriate physical contact.

2. The Huron County community will be educated on the role of Mandated Reporters and the reporting requirements to ensure the safety of our community's children.

3. Collaboration will occur with Huron County 's primary and secondary prevention programs and they will be supported to increase their capacity for reaching the populations that they serve through additional resources and education.

4. We will seek to sustain our Local Council and grow its capacity
