The Huron County Child Abuse/Neglect Council celebrates the success of the 16th Annual Roof Sit which was held on Friday, February 3rd from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at McDonald’s Food and Family Center in Bad Axe.
Our Council especially proud of the total amount raised: $11,742.65. This was made possible by McDonald’s Food and Family Center and community members who gave so generously. In addition, the Council would like to thank the teams who participated: Huron County Office of the Sheriff, Bad Axe High School/Bad Axe BP, Signature Bank, Independent Bank, Huron County Courthouse, Huron Medical Center, Scheurer Healthcare Network, Northstar Bank, Huron Behavioral Health/Team Genesis, HISD’s PREP Program, NEMCSA Headstart, Terry Brown, Clark Elftman, Sean’s Voice, Bad Axe Christian Ministers’ Association, Team TOUCAN, Huron County Postpartum Support, Huron County DHS, Thumb Mighty Moms and the Huron County Health Department.
We'd like to give special recognition to the top three fundraising teams: 1. Independent Bank: $1,883.85, 2. Scheurer Healthcare Network: $1,723.35 and 3. Huron Behavioral Health/Genysis: $1,601.57.
In addition, the Council would like to thank Lowell McDonald and the entire staff at McDonald’s Food & Family Center in Bad Axe. Without their support and generosity, we could not have this event in our community each year.
Huron County residents, businesses and agencies warm our hearts and never cease to amaze us! Thank you for all you do to protect the children of Huron County from abuse and neglect!
