What is the CA/N Council?
The Huron County Child Abuse/ Neglect (CA/N) Council is a group of professionals, parents and volunteers who have joined together to prevent the abuse and neglect of children through awareness and education.

CA/N Organizational Vision
We believe children should grow up in a safe, supportive environment. Preventing child abuse and neglect is in the best interest of children, families and society. A community-wide effort will have a significant impact in the future of children.

Programs the Council Supports:
Darkness to Light Training, Huron County Baby Pantry, Text4Baby, Period of Purple Crying, Family Mentor Home Visiting Program, Talking About Touching, Love & Logic Classes, Parenting Classes, Children's Wellness Adventure and Parent/Caregiver Education Classes.

Speakers about CA/N Council are available to any group, business or organization in Huron County free of charge.

Panel Presentations
The Council also sponsors a Panel Presentation for Mandated Reporters and other interested groups. The Panel includes professionals involved in investigation and prosecution of child abuse/neglect.
