the Huron County Ca/N Council

The Huron County CA/N Council is 1 of 73 local child abuse and neglect  prevention    councils representing all 83 counties in Michigan.

While each local council is run by its own board of directors, CA/N Councils are a function of the Children’s Trust Fund of Michigan (CTF) and as such have been charged to facilitate community prevention programs focusing on creating awareness, providing education and supporting the general community. CA/N Councils across the state of  Michigan work to take action before a problem arises avoiding issues from occurring thus keeping children safe and secure, free from abuse and neglect.

The Huron County CA/N Council’s mission is to work collaboratively with community    partners to prevent child abuse and neglect in Huron County. The council does this by fund-raising, educating the  community, and supporting prevention services and projects.
